Mortgage Customer Service / Full time




Primary Position Objective

The Payoff Representative’s responsibilities, involves processing payoff quotes, nearing payoff notices, maturing loan notices, payoff shortage notices, reconveyance/release preparation and recording, and incoming telephone calls.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processing payoff quote requests.
  • Run the Nearing Payoff, Maturing Loans and Payoff Shortage Reports and process the applicable borrower notices.
  • Send out payoff notifications after a loan is paid in full.
  • Disburse/process funds owed to the borrower.
  • Prepare and record reconveyances/releases.
  • Respond to department mail and emails.
  • Answer Customer Services calls and assist with borrower requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as instructions, procedure manuals, reports and loan documents.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers, clients and employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
